You know that kiss you can’t get enough of?…that bite of perfect dark chocolate?…that new Hulu TV series? I get it (and don’t tell me I’m the only one with cravings!)…sometimes you just need to “binge out” unapologetically. But beyond this obvious list of indulgences, you know what I simply cannot get enough of as I start this exciting new decade??? My new kitchen color!!!! It makes me so stinking happy! Throw in the kisses, the chocolate and the tv series and I’m practically certifiable!
I worked my pa-tooty off this year and to say I’m grateful for the work and my fantastic clients is an understatement! But after helping others extend and reflect their personalities through their home’s interiors, I was ready to do a little “extending” of my own. Simply put, on an ordinary day in early November 2019, I had a “eureka” moment! I had found, what I thought to be, the perfect hue of green for my kitchen cabinets and therefore needed them painted right away! It simply couldn’t wait! (Duh. Doesn’t everyone want it yesterday? I should know!) “Right away” turned out to be the first week of December (I got really lucky), so amidst the chaos and frivolity of Christmas decorating, etc, we underwent a pretty intense little renovation. Was it messy? Yes. Was it ill timed? Yes. Was it inconvenient? Yes. But I would do it 100 times over! And my instincts about the color were so right! Pewter Green by Sherwin Williams…you are my hero, my spirit color and my happy dance, all wrapped up in one! In our home; You. Are. Fabulous.
To fully appreciate my glee, please enjoy these Before Photos. To be fair, we have been renovating this wide galley kitchen, little by little, over the past four years. Therefore, it didn’t get this massive of a transformation in one week’s time. But nothing beats a good ol’ “before picture” to help you fully appreciate how far you’ve come!!! Or help inspire others to follow suit!
And to truly enjoy all of this paint’s subtleties, feast your eyes on the lovely Ashley Gearing as she poses for a random evening photo. I don’t know who’s sexier…this paint color or Ashley! Ok…Ashley wins…but that paint!
Go forth and prosper in 2020! And think green as you boldly enter your future!
Much peace and love,
Sabrina

I was trying to decide between Thunderous and Pewter Green in my kitchen. I have brown/gold granite and hardwood floors and wasn’t sure how it would look. Low and behold, I googled and found the EXACT LOOK I wanted for my kitchen! I wouldn’t be more excited! Thank you so much for sharing. I’m so inspired!

So inspired by this kitchen and have the same countertops! I paid a designer to come over for a paint consultation and she told me she couldn’t help me and told me to change everything out! What the ……? 😭 You said the wall color is Toque White. I checked out this color and also feel it would work in my home! Woohoo! I have and open floor plan with builtins I also want to paint. Would you suggest doing this same color in a different finish? Or what trim color do you suggest to go with it. I had also been considering Alabaster before finding your blog.
