Hold on Ranch Dressing and boring ol’ Onion Dip! There’s a new dip boss in town! Peach and the Willow Dip, “please stand up, please stand up, please stand up”! (Go ahead and rock the Slim Shady song here….it’s Friday and you’ve been itching’ to dance all week!).
I had a few friends over last weekend for some nibbles and those “oh so obsessive” Frose’s that everyone’s raving about (for good reason…they’re ah-mazing) and I whipped up a bowl of Peach and the Willow Dip to go with my farm fresh spread of crudite. This party dip is one I’ve had in my recipe card arsenal for a couple decades now and I’ve tweaked it over the years, making it a real fan favorite whenever I serve it. For casual get togethers, I usually opt for putting together one of my yummilicious cheese trays but when it’s this hot, guests are looking for something a little lighter, snappier and fresh…but with a big taste profile. Without further adieu…
PEACH AND THE WILLOW DIP
- 2 cups mayo
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tsp. curry powder ( I always add a dash more)
- 2 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp horseradish (again…add a little more)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate. For best results, make the day before serving. Serve with vegetables (or as noted later, Chicken Fingers).

Let’s talk about these veggies for a moment. See the sugar snap peas? At this very moment, they are at the peak of deliciousness! I picked these up from the Franklin Farmers Market several hours before serving them. I simply rinsed them and popped them in the refrigerator to cool…no blanching, no cooking, no nothing. They are sweet and flavorful and crisp and raw and perfect. The dip only enhances their already incredible flavor. I also picked up the Kohlrabi on the bottom of the platter to try for the adventure of it. Turns out it was my friend, Cari’s, favorite bite. Taste comes in somewhere between a radish and a turnip…very earthy and lightly sweet. The red potatoes? Duh. Boil until al dente’ and bam! Potatoes and Peach and the Willow Dip are an absolute match made in heaven. What else is a match made in heaven? Peach and the Willow Dip with CHICKEN FINGERS! What you do not see in the photograph is the bucket of chicken fingers that showed up thanks to a marvelous idea by Cari Safford and her giant brain! Let’s be honest…fried chicken and this dip could cure a lot of ills in this world…just sayin.’
Now go and enjoy this gorgeous summer! I demand you make at least one to one hundred batches of Peach and the Willow Dip and put it on hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, raw veggies and pretty much anything that goes CRUNCH! Pair it with a hug and the world instantly gets better!
Big Love to you!
Sabrina
